MBN films has begun a long trek into the film foray. New camera, lens, and lights have begun experimentation, in the form of short films, and commercials, prior to shooting the companies first feature A Wake(set for production during the fall of 2017).

The first feature of the company, centers around a 16 year old heroin addict, living on the streets, who becomes pregnant with more than just a bundle of joy. The film takes place in Los Angeles and the Sequoia’s and is slated for a release date for March 2018.

After an onslaught of optioning of future films, MBN designs will be releasing a schedule for the production dates, of a minimum of 6 films for 2016. These films will will only cover the first 6 months of 2016, leaving the later half, up for anything. These films will include both feature and short films as the schedule will address those questions.

The newest painting, titled John I, II, III(tied to life), is the first triptych ever produced by OJ Hansen. The painting; oil and acrylic, with white charcoal pencil, on wood, stretches 16 foot long, and 6 foot high. It depicts 3 skeletal figures, seemingly screaming, while being tied to the corners of the painting itself.

Moi Belle Noir designs is now nearing a contract for their first film and a possible second. What the films they are based on, will be announced later, but word is positive that one is a documentary, based on "the social affects that social media has on todays society". OJ Hansen, founder of MBN designs, is hopeful the news should be offical by November 8. Preliminary meetings for production design, cinematography, and a full timeline, has been set forth and prepared. This makes for a huge boost of confidence in the project being green lit and moving forward. As of now, no word on what the other project is, but we have no doubt, they are something unique to story and film.

The film being, undeniably different, about a 9ft tall man with a 36in balloon for a head, that has the ability to grant people's wishes with the sketch of his pencil, has unfortunately been put on hold, due to weather reasons. Needing calm air and no rain, it's been difficult to come by this summer in Southern California, which is shocking for the climate. No scheduled shoot date is prepared until the weather becomes more consistent.

Moving into a meeting for a documentary about the affects of social media on the American population. This could be a very interesting sociological experiment and the first feature film that m.b.n designs produces.
